Who we are

Proventus Analytics ("Proventus", "we", "us") is a technology consultancy based in the Washington, DC area that provides enterprise data engineering, applied AI and custom software services. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through proventusanalytics.com (the "Site"). Questions can be sent to admin@proventusanalytics.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, work email address, company (optional), the project stage, working model and service you select, and the project details you write in the message field. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time of the request. When you submit the contact form, we also record the page you submitted it from and how long the form took to complete, which helps us filter automated spam.

Cookies and tracking. The Site does not use cookies, analytics tools, advertising trackers or social media pixels.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your inquiry and discuss a potential engagement;
  • keep a record of our correspondence with you;
  • protect the Site and our contact form against spam, abuse and security threats; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or to build advertising profiles. We will not add you to a marketing list without your permission.

How information is shared

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Site and respond to you, and only as needed for those purposes:

  • Amazon Web Services hosts the Site and processes contact form submissions (AWS Amplify, Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda and Amazon Simple Email Service), delivering your inquiry to our team by email.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on the Site. When your browser loads a page, it requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and browser information.
  • Our email provider stores the inquiry emails we receive and send.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of business assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry emails for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting business relationship, and then in line with our normal record-keeping practices. Technical logs from our contact form service are kept for up to 30 days and record only limited, non-identifying details about each submission. Hosting access logs are retained according to our hosting provider's standard practices.

Security

The Site is served over HTTPS, and contact form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to inquiries is limited to the people at Proventus who need it to respond. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing admin@proventusanalytics.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, such as the right to know what information we collect, to receive a copy of it, or to object to certain processing. We will respond to verified requests within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

International visitors

Proventus is based in the United States, and the information you submit is processed in the United States. If you contact us from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third-party websites

The Site links to other websites, including our clients' and partners' products and our LinkedIn page. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If we make material changes, we will update this page before they take effect.
